Time’s Wingèd Chariot

Just a quick check-in this week. My self-imposed deadline for the next lecture is a week from today, and I have plenty left to do. Usually by now I’m putting the finishing touches on the editing, but this month I still have video left to shoot, a quote to record, some images to decide on, and all of it left to put together.

But I went and built a new machine, so why should I be surprised? A new machine meant lots of new decisions that needed making—what to keep, what to change, how and how much to let randomness determine the substance of the lecture. And all this with an election that can’t come soon enough, work work to do, and last night a snow storm.

So: apologies for having so little to say this week. Though really there’s plenty to say, just too little time to say it in. So goes a morning, so goes a month, so goes life.
