James Holmberg has invited the collaboration of Charles Conley and Anthelion Projects to create videos using material gathered during the creation of his Absence series of canvases.

The raw material processed for these videos includes:

• Thousands of still images (photographed serially over short intervals) of Holmberg in the process of creating the canvases

• Voice memos Holmberg recorded in the midst of this process

• The erasure of various textual materials related to Holmberg’s work

• Lecture content created via aleatoric means and recorded by the Operator

• Text created by artificial intelligence
